Todd Campbell
Todd represents individuals and businesses in litigation matters throughout the State of Alabama and the Southeast. His practice includes litigating complex commercial disputes, shareholder derivative actions, disputes between shareholders in closely-held businesses, business torts such as minority shareholder oppression and breach of fiduciary duty claims, corporate governance issues, breach of contract claims, trust and estate disputes, and professional negligence claims. Todd’s broad range of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants has afforded him the capability to understand both sides of a case and anticipate the opposing party’s next move. Seasoned in all stages of litigation at the trial and appellate levels, Todd has litigated a variety of cases in federal and state courts as well as before arbitration forums, such as FINRA and AAA. Todd also frequently advises business owners during pre-litigation disputes, often negotiating a fair and reasonable resolution without resorting to litigation.
Most recently, Todd has:
Obtained an arbitration award of over $1.1 million on behalf of a minority shareholder in a closely-held business and also a dismissal of all breach of restrictive covenant counterclaims asserted against the minority shareholder.
Successfully negotiated settlement of a corporate officer’s breach of employment contract claims against former corporate employer.
Successfully negotiated minority shareholder’s oppression and breach of fiduciary claim resulting in a buy-out of the minority shareholder’s interest in closely-held, family-owned business.
Successfully litigated professional negligence and malpractice claims on behalf of a closely-held business and its majority shareholder.
